Always on the side of the dissemination and promotion of culture in all its forms, Rieti has also been the City of Dance since 1991.
In the wonderful setting of the Flavio Vespasiano Theater, whose stage has seen so many ballet shoes and bare feet caress it over the years, it is since 1991 that a special prize has come to life and has grown up between the scenes and behind the magnificent curtain, realized by Antonino Calcagnadoro: the Rieti International Dance Award.
In April Rieti is not only the geographic center of Italy, but also and above all the City of Dance, hosting this valuable event that enjoys the patronage of the Municipality of Rieti, the Department of Culture, and the fundamental support of the Varrone Foundation, as well as the Sabina Universitas, the Flavio Vespasiano Foundation, Unindustria and Confcommercio.
